Events
The Steminist Movement | Cornell hosts a variety of professional development events, social events, and educational events both on and off campus. Some of our events include the Sustainability Summit, Speaker Series, general body meetings, our mentorship program, and workshops hosted in collaboration with The Steminist Movement, Inc. Follow us on Instagram to stay up-to-date on all upcoming events!
General Body Meetings
TSM hosts G-Body meetings once a month. G-Body meetings are an opportunity to network with other Steminists, get helpful professional development advice, or to learn about a new skill such as coding! Past G-Body meetings have discussed summer internships, student research, and coding in Java.
Workshops
The Steminist Movement | Cornell collaborates with The Steminist Movement, Inc. to lead hands-on science workshops for middle school girls.
Speaker Series
Speaker Series, hosted 2-4 times a semester, are talks given by speakers including scientists, Cornell professors, and other professionals who are experts in their fields. TSM invites speakers to present their work and discuss their professional journeys. In the past, we've hosted Swati Mohan, Chris Schaffer, Janet Browne, and more!
Mentorship
TSM's mentorship program provides students with an upperclassman mentor who has similar interests and studies, so that the student has somebody to go to and ask questions in a casual, low-stress setting. Fill out our mentorship application below!
