Events
The Steminist Movement | Cornell hosts a variety of professional development events, social events, and educational events both on and off campus. Some of our events include the Sustainability Summit, Speaker Series, general body meetings, our mentorship program, and workshops hosted in collaboration with The Steminist Movement, Inc.
Speaker Series
Speaker Series, hosted 2-4 times a semester, are talks given by speakers including scientists, Cornell professors, and other professionals who are experts in their fields. TSM invites speakers to present their work and discuss their professional journeys. In the past, we've hosted Swati Mohan, Chris Schaffer, Janet Browne, and more!
General Body Meetings
TSM G-Body meetings are hosted 2-4 times a semester, and are an opportunity to network with other Steminists, get helpful professional development advice, or to learn about a new skill such as coding! Past G-Body meetings have discussed summer internships, student research, and coding in Java. We've also had networking socials and resume workshops.
Mentorship
TSM's mentorship program provides students with an upperclassman mentor who has similar interests and studies, so that the student has somebody to go to and ask questions in a casual, low-stress setting. Fill out our mentorship application below!
Workshops
The Steminist Movement | Cornell collaborates with The Steminist Movement, Inc. to lead hands-on science workshops for middle school girls. Click the link below to see past workshops that we've helped host!
